The City of Dexter has received a CDBG basic infrastructure grant to improve streets throughout the City. The following streets will be affected:

Portions of the following streets will require a 2 inch asphalt overlay: N Poplar St, Rainey St, Hunt St, W Kenton St, Kenton St, Brenda Lane, Lynn Ave, Patti Lane, S Mulberry St, Boucher St, Anna Dr, Alice St, Bain Circle, Woodland Dr, S Lakeview Dr, Houston St, Dana St, W Fannetta St, and Whitman St.

The following unimproved streets will be paved with a 4-inches of asphalt, installed in two layers installed over the existing gravel streets after they are graded smooth: McCroy St, McNair St, McClard St, Crossover St.

Total Grant Amount: $717,788

Status Update as of March 2024: Project is expected to start late Spring 2024.
