Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)

Counties served by the Bootheel Regional Planning and Economic Development Commission include Dunklin, Mississippi, New Madrid, Pemiscot, Scott, and Stoddard.

The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program is a federally funded program administered by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and passed through the Missouri Department of Economic Development.

CDBG funding is available to eligible non-entitlement communities, including cities with populations under 50,000 and counties with populations under 200,000. Funds may be used to support public infrastructure, community facilities, housing, and economic development needs.

  • Demolition – July

  • Community Facilities – July

  • General Infrastructure – July

  • Water & Wastewater – Open cycle

  • Economic Development – Open cycle

  • Emergency – Open cycle

Bootheel Regional Planning assists member cities and counties in its six county region with applications for grants from CDBG.
