  • The City of Bloomfield is completing a wastewater collection system improvement project to locate and repair sources of excess stormwater entering the sewer system. The project will use testing and inspections to identify problem areas and make targeted repairs, helping reduce system overloads and improve the performance of the City’s wastewater treatment and pumping facilities.

  • The City of Puxico is completing street and drainage improvements to repair damaged and aging roadways and improve overall safety. The project will provide smoother streets, better drainage, and more reliable access for residents and emergency vehicles, helping extend the life of the City’s transportation system.

  • The City of Kennett is completing a demolition project to remove unsafe and blighted properties identified by local code enforcement and public safety officials. Removing these structures will help improve neighborhood safety, reduce hazards, and support future community revitalization efforts.

  • The City of Sikeston is making critical wastewater system improvements to support continued operations and future growth at the local Unilever facility. These upgrades will help ensure reliable service, protect environmental compliance, and support long-term job stability for the community.

  • The Delta Regional Authority is supporting engineering work for a roadway improvement project along Highway 84 between the City of Hayti and the City of Caruthersville.

    The project will prepare plans to widen a key section of the highway and improve an existing bridge to enhance traffic flow, safety, and access for businesses and travelers in the area, supporting continued economic development for the region.

  • The Bootheel Regional Planning Commission will expand staff support to help small and rural communities across the Missouri Bootheel address aging infrastructure, limited local capacity, and rising operational costs. Through closer coordination with the Delta Regional Authority, BRPC will help communities identify and pursue funding for critical needs such as street improvements, public facilities, and water and wastewater systems. This project will strengthen local planning and grant capacity, improve access to resources, and support long-term economic stability in some of the most economically distressed counties in the region.

  • The Bootheel Technical Training Center will use funding from the Delta Regional Authority to upgrade its facility and expand hands-on training programs in electrical, HVAC, welding, and related trades.
    These improvements will help residents in economically distressed and persistent-poverty communities gain job skills, strengthen the local workforce, and support long-term economic growth across the Bootheel region.

  • The City of Dexter will repair and upgrade portions of its aging sewer and stormwater system to address failures and stormwater infiltration caused by infrastructure that is more than 75 years old. These improvements are essential to support new industrial development, including redevelopment of the former Tyson Foods facility, and to help the City attract additional employers as it works to rebuild its local economy.

  • The City of Dexter is upgrading its wastewater treatment system to address regulatory compliance issues and prepare for future growth. The project will shift treatment from the aging East facility to an improved system at the West treatment plant, allowing the City to meet discharge requirements set by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, increase treatment capacity, and support new development while protecting local waterways and public health.

  • The City of Portageville is upgrading its drinking water treatment system to address aging equipment and water quality concerns, including PFAS and manganese. The project will install new treatment technology to improve reliability, meet requirements set by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, and ensure safe, dependable drinking water for residents, schools, and local businesses.
